Check this out
My friend Courtney is extremely talented, and has made me some very beautiful pieces over the years. One of the pieces she just sent me just touched my heart. It is a pendant for both Sofia and the "new baby." I have worn it A LOT and have gotten a ton of compliments, so thank you Courtney! It was so wonderful of you to make something so beautiful for me to wear for my two babies:)

The Park
It was a nice day here a couple of weeks ago and we went to the park for the last time this season. (We may try it again later but between rain, snow, and 20 degree temps I am just not that kind of Mommy.) I took advantage of talking Sofia into wearing some jeans that I was dieing to have her put on. She looked so cute I couldn't resist the photo opp:) I mean just look at that hat!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Well it is a good thing that we planned on having a nice relaxing weekend, because that is exactly what we got. It started snowing last night and is not suppose to stop until Sunday night! My parents are here right now, so they are getting to play with Sofia in the snow (well my mom, while my dad and I watch from the windows- remember not cold people). Tomorrow we will be celebrating Christmas, so we will be having a very white Christmas.
Can anyone say "Ralphie?"
PS They are projecting 20-24 inches when it is all said and done!

TIANA!
The movie that Sofia and I have been waiting to see finally came out! We went to see the Princess and the Frog the very first showing on last Friday morning. Sofia of course wore her Tiana dress for the occasion. We went to lunch before hand and just made a day of it!
The Review:
Katie- I really liked it. It was fun and creative, and actually a lot better than I thought it was going to be. The "magic man." was a lot scarier than I thought he would be, but over all very cute.
Sofia- She had hoped that there had been more of Tiana the princess in the movie. She got very bored of "the frogs." She LOVED Prince Naveen!

Nativity Play
Sofia is really into Baby Jesus and the story of the first Christmas. I love telling her all about the reason for the season. Well tonight instead of our usual roles when "playing, and singing." (Usually Daddy is either Goofy or Prince Charming, and Mommy is Cinderella or Mickey Mouse, and Sofia is Minnie or Sleeping Beauty- depending on the game). Sofia assigned Daddy and Mommy new roles to play. She told Chad that he was Joseph, and she would be Mary, and that's right Mommy was Baby Jesus. I would have thought that the role of Mary would have been played by the pregnant "Mother," of the house, but you have to be who you are cast as.

Christmas!
So we have been very busy doing a lot of Christmas type activities around here.
I took Sofia to see the Nutcracker Ballet. It was just the two of us, and we had such a blast, she LOVED it and she sat through the whole thing again this year. The next day she kept humming the music and dancing. Needless to say we have already signed her up for Ballet classes in January!
We made Christmas cookies, which were more work than I would have wanted them to be, and they looked really gross! But they tasted good:)
We also went to breakfast with Santa at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown. It was FANTASTIC!!! The timing, setting, and the food were all great! We showed up, we all got a great breakfast (at a very reasonable price!), got to see Santa and his elf, and didn't have to wait in a crazy line at the mall. Sofia just loved it. She got to give Santa her list that she had made and told him she wanted princesses, a ball, a lizard, blue baby and a pacifier. We will see what Santa can do.
Writing her letter to Santa a couple of weeks ago.
We also went to our own downtown to see them light the Christmas tree. They did an awesome job. There was of course Santa and Ms. Claus, Rudolph, a Christmas Tree and Frosty the Snowman (who Sofia stalked for about an hour!). It was really fun.
We also got a lot of snow last weekend so we took advantage of the opportunity and delayed all plans for the day, and just went out and played in the snow all together. Then Mommy (because I HATE the cold) came in and made hot chocolate for everyone. Sofia ate the marshmallow but didn't care for the hot chocolate.
