Dress up Queen
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree! I LOVED to dress up. My mom even says that she had to mark K days and M days, for who got to pick out my outfit for the day. I guess I have always had my own style:) Well so does Sofia. She came out the other night before bed all dressed and ready to go.
Here are two pics, see the comparison!

I did it!!!!
Well I finally got out all by myself! Sofia, Emily and I went to our friends house this morning for a play date. It was awesome!!!! To get up, and go somewhere and see friends was great (Thank you Whitney!) We then went to Walgreens to pick up some essentials and it went pretty well- Sofia even got to get bubbles for being such a good girl:)
Then the real test- I took them both to lunch by myself! I have to admit while driving to the restaurant I thought to myself, "Am I completely nuts!" I let Sofia pick the restaurant- of course she picked Chiles, her new favorite. We sat down and I immediately ordered, and told the waitress that we were on a time limit. The chips and salsa came out and we were having a great time just talking and eating. Then Emily started to cry- no big deal I put on my nursing shawl and Emily got to eat too. Then Sofia said that she had to "Wee Wee!" No big deal I put Emily in the car seat, grabbed my purse and off we went to the potty (please see previous post on public bathroom issues:). Then we came back finished our meal, got in the car and drove home for nap. It was a wonderful lunch, and everything went smoothly! Sofia you are a wonderful little girl, and a big helper- I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

Introducing the Mad Hatter
Emily Louise Smith AKA the Mad Hatter was born Monday April 5th at 9:59 am. She weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces, and was 20 inches long. It has almost been a week and all of us are doing great, and so in love with our newest family member! She is a GREAT baby!!!! She is tolerant of everything. She eats A LOT, and I think we have seen her eyes open for all of 20 minutes since last Monday. But when they are open she really looks around. We are having a lot of fun, it's busy but a blast.
Going to the hospital on Monday morning.

Big Sister Class
We are all getting ready for the Mad Hatter's arrival. Sofia took her big sister class last weekend at the hospital that I will deliver at. She didn't get to do the tour, and she won't be able to come up and see the baby (H1N1 still). The entire class was comical from beginning to end. My mom and I were laughing so hard I thought I might have the baby! The lady who taught the class talked a lot, and didn't always have the most age appropriate stories. Sofia met a very nice friend (that she is still talking about), and the two of them made their own fun.
The other funny thing that happened at big sister class is when we went to learn how to change the baby's diaper, there was poop in it!!!!! I wasn't quite expecting that (and neither was the instructor!). Apparently they put deli mustard in the diaper area, and you get a big surprise- more like a bio hazard if you thought it was real poop like I did!
Here are a couple of pictures from that day:
Sofia got to wear her big sister special outfit, and go to Chick-fil-A before hand. A real treat!
She's official!
