So Sofia has developed a real love of music. However she limits herself to just a couple of songs. For about two months now she has only wanted to listen to "Sherry," by Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons. All we hear from the back seat is, "More Cherry baby, more Cherry baby." We even affectionately named Bitty Baby, Sherry. Well now we have a new song as of this week, "Money, Money, Money," from the Momma Mia sound track. So now from the back seat I will hear, "more Money, more Money." This only becomes more hysterical because she only likes the chorus, so the whole time she is waiting for Meryl Streep to belt out, "money, money, money...." she is crying (and I mean literally crying) "more money momma, more money." I couldn't help but laugh today, and tell her, "Sofia sometimes mommy also cries and wants more money."

1.5
Sofia will be one and a half on Friday! So of course we have been preparing for the big girl transformation. Today we went and got her hair cut, and then we went and picked out a big girl potty (we wrapped it up and are going to give it to her for her 1/2 birthday!). So here are a couple of picks of the hair cut.

The before!

More before, notice the shaggy bang look

Christy Anne cutting her hair, she was wonderful!

The after! What a big, and beautiful girl!

More after, this time with a big girl clip:)

The good, the bad and the ugly
I know, I know, it has been awhile since my last post. Here is a recap of the last month, and an explanation of our very busy Dec/Jan.
• The first three weeks of December Sofia had double ear infections, yet again!
• Sofia had surgery to put tubes in both ears to help her to stay well, and hopefully NO MORE ear infections!
• Chad’s family came in town!
• Chad’s graduation!
• One day later fly to Tyler!
• Christmas in Tyler with family. It was a great Christmas, very relaxed and wonderful.
• Came home to a violent case of the stomach flu, or food poisoning we still aren’t sure which. Chad and I finally got a night out by our selves to the ER..ha, ha, ha:)
So as you can see we have been busy good, and busy bad...I promise to be better about posting. I have missed such things as Sofia's first braid, lining up babies yet again and again, stuffing babies down her shirt (she got to see Aunt Karen with a baby in her belly), singing any song that she hears especially her favorite "Sherry Baby," by Frankie Valli. But don't worry I will start posting these as soon as I can:)
But to hold you over here are a couple of cute pics

At the Tyler Zoo with Cousin Anne, in matching dresses:)

Celebrating graduation with daddy's hat.

First braid, can you believe that her hair is long enough for this!

All dressed up and no where to go.

Singing to PB, her favorite song "Sherry Baby," of course.

True Love
Tonight I was getting Sofia ready for bed, and she looked at me and said, "love you mama." Then pulled me in for a big kiss! As you can imagine it made my day, my week, my year! This truly made my heart sing. I really needed this pick me up after our car got broken into this weekend and my cellphone and GPS system were stolen. So I won't be able to know where I am going, and I can't call for help...ha ha ha.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Well the Christmas season is upon us, and last weekend we took Sofia to an event called Festival of Trees. It was fantastic! We had so much fun. Sofia loved looking at all of the trees, and lights. We waved to Santa from a far, I don't think we are quite ready to sit on his lap yet. She got her face painted, ate cotton candy, tried to eat a gigantic paper candy cane, rode on a carousel and a train, and got to see some beautiful ballerinas dancing the Nutcracker. We are really getting into the Christmas spirit around here.

Babies
Sofia's new passion is Babies. She has always liked babies, but now she LOVES babies. The other day when she was napping on me, she all of a sudden started to just say, "Babies, Babies, Babies." Yes the girl loves babies!
Here she is with all of her babies. She was in her play room and had pulled out all of her babies (and Elmo of course)and put them onto the couch, so I helped her line them all up. Then she asked for, "hep," translation help. She wanted to be sitting right next to them:) Then we lined up everyone, can you find the real baby?
