ABQ

We have been busy. We went to Albuquerque for my sister's bridal shower. It was really fun to do bridal stuff and get to be a part of the planning of Noelle's wedding. She is marrying a terrific guy that we all LOVE!
The girls just love being with my parents, and family. It was really fun to see friends while we were there too. We just took the week to enjoy being with others. Here are some pictures:

We got to go to this fabulous place called the ABQ playroom with my friend Whitney and her girls, it was a BLAST! Both girls really loved it, and had a great time. Here Sofia is doing a dolls hair, that kept her busy for like 45 minutes! And yes that is Emily all dressed up, the girl loves to play dress up, it is hilarious!









Here Sofia is playing with Abby, her most favorite person in the whole world, she LOVES Abby!!!!! To watch them play is so fun, they are two peas in a pod, that is for sure.


Aunt MaryKay bought them this coloring book, they both had a great time coloring. It works out nice too, with one being left handed and one being right handed:)


Both girls love this swing in my parents backyard, they will swing as long as you will swing them.


My mom took the girls for a good hour, and I got a coffee break....since these coffee breaks so rarely happen I had to take a picture:)




We got to go and "play," at the bridal shop and get the girls flower girl dresses. This was by far one of my favorite things that we did while we were there.


We also got to go to the zoo with my dad. Emily loved seeing the animals, and anytime we left one she would cry until we got to another one. I loved spending time with my dad.

Happy Birthday Emmy Lou!

Emily's birthday started on March 26th and is still going! She is a great thing to celebrate, so we just keep on celebrating. It all started with Grandma and Grandpa's visit (see previous post). Then we had a birthday party for her with friends. She LOVED it, especially the cupcakes! She nows points to the refrigerator (because she knows where they are now) and asks for more. The day before her birthday we went to Disneyland with friends and "celebrated," her birthday. She got to see "Mum, Mum"...or Mickey Mouse on stage. We then had a small celebration in Newport with my parents for her actual birthday. She got to eat breakfast on the beach, play in the sand, and eat yes more cake! We then did a small birthday party for her just us, and she got to open gifts, eat rice (one of her favorites), and more cupcakes! It has been a great couple of weeks. We love you Emmy Lou, and are so glad that you are here, healthy and happy!!!!!

We love to play!

Sofia and Emily love to color, and they do it a lot. It is fun to have the both of them around while I cook dinner. They sit at the bar and talk and color. Sofia is a good teacher. She will say, "like this Emily...good job." She will also tattle on Emily such as, "Mom Emily is eating the blue crayon again."





We also like to do Emily's hair, because she allows it and she has so much of it:) I think she just likes to have Sofia touch her and be in her presence, so if this means curlers, so be it.

Today is the start of Emily's first birthday month and we have so many fun things planned! I am so excited.

Grandma and Grandpa visit

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit and we had a great time!!! We took Grandma for her very first visit to Disneyland! We all had a really great time. We also had a small party for Emily's birthday. Grandma and Grandpa got Emily a small doll cottage and Great Granny got her a royal family to play with in it. It was a HIT, both girls haven't stopped playing with it. We knew that Emily would love this, because she loves playing with Sofia's dollhouse. It is really fun to see her play just like Sofia does, and makes them go in through the door and sit in chairs.
It was really nice to have them here, we all miss them very much. Here are a couple of pictures from their visit.

Emily's birthday party. I made a GIANT chocolate chip cookie, because Emily LOVES chocolate chip cookies. Sofia thought this was amazing, and hasn't stopped talking about it. She asks me if I will make her one for her birthday, or maybe just another one today. It was a success I think.











Sofia loved all of the playmates. Here is Sofia and Grandma playing outside, even though it was unseasonably cold. Grandma was a good sport.

March Madness

So March has been CRAZY!!! Crazy fun, busy, and more. So we have had the good- friends come and visit, the bad- everyone being sick, and the ugly- we have gone to the ER twice in the last week! So here are pictures to describe it all:

Sofia got the flu, and then scarlet fever. I have never seen her so sick. She just layed there with a 105 degree fever. It was awful! But after she got better I took her to LA to see the American Girl place with her doll (my doll) Jazzis.





Emily is really starting to grow up, and stand up, and we are seeing her cute little personality. She absolutely loves to dress up. It is really funny. She asks you to put stuff on, and then just sits there with it on for hours, and laughs and plays. Her favorite outfit to wear is Sofia's snow white costume.




We had some very dear friends visit. It was super fun. It was a couple friend of ours from Maryland Jeff and Jenn. They have kids almost our kids ages so it was super fun. I loved how busy our house was. We miss them already! We went to Disney for two days, then to Kidspace (a science museum in Pasadena), went to the LA zoo and basically just had fun.








Then we all got the stomach flu. Chad and Emily got it the worst. Emily actually ended up in the hospital twice. She was sick for an entire week with it. Hopefully she is better and will remain well now.

Sofia and I were having lunch the other day and just talking and having a great conversation. I asked her, " Sofia who is your best friend?" And she replied, "Carter, I just love that boy. I want to marry him." So I said, " Sofia that is a great idea. You know I married my best friend." She paused and started to think for a minute, and then said "what's his name mommy?" I said, " Chad." To which she replied, " that story sounds awfully familiar." I just started dying laughing and said, that story is awfully familiar:)
