Desperately Seeking Cinderella

My parents had a wonderful vacation planned for their 39th wedding anniversary. They were going to Disneyland for the first time with out kids......or so they thought! Chad is defending his thesis on Friday and this is a very stressful time, so my mom offered to share this trip with Sofia and I so that we could give him this time to prepare. So my parent's trip wasn't what they thought it was going to be, but we all had a great time! So THANK YOU SO MUCH mom and dad!!!
The day was great, Sofia dressed up like a Princess, and the whole way to Disneyland she told us, "I look just like Cinderella!" It was hysterical. When we got there she was just so overwhelmed, but really loved it all (except the dark rides again, she didn't like those!) We had lunch at 33 again and it was really good. We then went over to California adventure so that my parents could ride the Tower of Terror, the line was 55 minutes long, so they didn't get to do this:( But they did get to ride on all of the Bug's Life rides instead (ha ha ha!) We got to see the Playhouse Disney show, which I know they both enjoyed, (check out their faces on the slide show:) We then went and had dinner with the Princesses, which was the best part of the day. When we walked downstairs and Ariel was standing there she just grinned from ear to ear! Then when Cinderella came out I thought she was going to die right then and there. She barely said two words to her, and then when she left she kept saying "More Cinderella, More Cinderella!" When Sleeping Beauty came to our table she was so overwhelmed with excitement that she did a raspberry in her face, yes Sofia spit at Sleeping Beauty. She was very gracious though and said, "Wow you are a silly princess." She also told Belle that she wanted more Cinderella! We had a great time, and we are so grateful to my parents for the rest and relaxation.

The Wicked Witch of the East

Sofia has a very good balance of good and evil now thanks to the Wizard of Oz. She will now tell you if someone is a good witch or a bad witch. This only makes her love of witches grow:) Auntie Noelle got her a witch hat a couple of weeks ago, that I think she wears at least once if not twice daily. Here are a couple of cute pics of my little witch (she is of course a good witch:)

What does my shirt say!?

Sunny day

We finally got a sunny day here in Maryland and since we have been sick since winter started we decided to go and do something fun. I saw that Brookside Gardens was having a butterfly and buds class, so we got dressed packed a lunch and we were off. When we got there we were "not aloud," to stay at the class because Sofia wasn't old enough for stories and coloring. Instead of listening to my heart and becoming a pompous mommy that said my daughter sits through stories (sometime 10 in a row), and she can color for hours at a time. I listened to my brain and decided to be gracious and bitter instead. It didn't really matter though because we had a great time just walking around the gardens. We talked about all of the birds and flowers that we saw, and we must have spent 30 minutes just laughing at the geese. Sofia also loved watching the turtles bask in the sun, go in and out of the water and float around. The wind started to pick up and little girl was tired from all of the walking so I decided to eat lunch in the car. We sat in the back (and I mean the back back) of the SUV and ate our lunch. Sofia thought this was great fun and kept laughing that we were "silly in the car." We had an absolute blast, I just hope this weather is here to stay. Here are a couple of pick and a video of the day.

This may be a lot of pictures for but believe it or not this is really pared down! It was such a photo opp, with all of the flowers and Sofia having such a great time!

It isn't just Mr. Bundles

That's right there is one more person in this world who does love Ms. Hannigan. Sofia has been watching Annie for this round of sickness (that we are finally over thank heavens!) and tonight we were watching Annie before she went to sleep and she said, "Ms. Hannigan, love you." I guess she will be the girl who loves everyone, even the meanies of the world:) She also loves singing tomorrow, I guess I will have to take her to a broadway musical at some point.

update

So much has happened since my last post. We got through the mysterious swelling and illness that came with Sofia's stitches. We all got colds, we all got better, we went to Phoenix and saw family and friends, only to come home to more sick! Hopefully we will have a couple of weeks of wellness or Summer will come SOON!!!!!!! Here are a couple of picks from Phoenix, the two little boys in the pictures are my friend Amy's boys. They are so precious, kind, and wonderful. Sofia followed Connor around everywhere. We had a lot of fun in the sun:)
PS One more big thing that has happened, is Sofia poopped in the potty. Don't worry even though I was SOOOO excited I won't be posting any pictures of that:)

A pappillon puppy that we saw that my mom, Sofia and I just fell in love with.

Connor and Sofia shopping with Baby, maybe this is a sneak peak into their future:)

Here is Sofia, Cooper and Connor hanging out together.

Fun in the sun!
