Top Chef

I just wanted to announce that I will be going into business as a Pampered Chef consultant!!!!! I am really excited to start this new adventure.

I have used their kitchen gadgets and stoneware for years, and I think it is more than half the reason my food keeps the family happy (at least that is what Chad says). So now you can find out for yourself. I will be having my first cooking show on Friday July 24h at 7:30 pm, and a second show on Saturday July 25th at 10:30 am. Everyone is welcome to come and watch me practice my skills.

I can't wait to get started, I am VERY excited!!!!!

Potty Training

Sofia has been showing all the signs that she was ready to be potty trained. I however have been dragging my feet for months. So I finally buckled down and gave it a go last week. We had some success, however I think that she and I need a little bit more time before we are ready. She loves the panty part, and the sticker part, but HATED the getting wet part (I had the same feelings). So I thought I would share a couple of funny pics and a video of our in training, for training:)

Waiting for a lollipop

Check out the panties with the high heels. I guess someone thinks they are a big girl now:)

Oh no, she got away!

While Daddy's Away We did Play!

Well I am sure some of you are wondering....why hasn't Katie posted in awhile. Well June has been a little crazy, to say the least. Chad went away on business so I got a lot of help from everyone. I was a little afraid of doing it all by myself for a week. So my mom and Noelle came out and helped with the first leg, then Joanna and Josh helped me one night, and we had dinner at friends houses for the last leg of the trip. Here are a couple of highlights of our crazy week without Daddy.

Before Daddy left we celebrated Grandma's birthday with her

and he got to take Sofia to soccer with Ida Jane

Then Mimi came in to help, and she took Sofia and I to Ms. K's for a nice Sunday brunch. Sofia looked beautiful. However we didn't leave our table so beautiful. Sofia insisted on playing tea party with Mimi coffee during breakfast. She was happy and content and Mimi and I got to talk and somewhat eat, so we "played tea party." at brunch.

Noelle came into town to help too, and we all went to the mall to shop. Sofia talked Mimi and Noelle into a train ride.

Before Auntie Noelle and Mimi left we went to Baltimore and ate crab and walked along the water and looked at boats. Sofia loved watching the boats while we had lunch, she thought that was great!

On Wednesday night we went and stayed at Josh and Joanna's house. Joanna and I took Sofia to the park next to her house, and then to the splash park in Silver Spring. We then let her sing and dance on the stage with other children at Austin Grill while we had dinner.

When Daddy came back we took him to the pool. Sofia and I had already gone once while he was gone, but we thought he might want in on the fun. Sofia loves the pool and begs for 5 more minutes anytime we even mention leaving.

PS We have managed to stay well for about 2+ weeks now!!!!!!! We have started potty training! And we will be replacing our entire laundry room. So there are a couple of other highlights of June and what's to come

Dr. Chad

Well since Chad is officially Dr. Chad we threw him his last college party. It was so much fun, and it was great to recognize him and all the hard work he has done for the past 6 years. There was beer, mexican food, and juggling. You can't go wrong with that combination! Chad's parents even flew in for the occasion. Which I am so grateful to them, the party would not have happened without all of their help. Thank you to all of you who have loved and supported us through these last couple of years. We could not have done it without you!

Here are a couple of picks of the party. Along with a couple of videos.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend was a blast! I can't believe I am just now getting around to posting about it:) I finally went on a girls weekend trip without baby. It was really strange and weird, but I think good for both of us. Sofia had a great time with Daddy, although when I called to say I had gotten there and was having a good time, I talked to her and she asked me to come home and got teary-eyed. Which also made me sad, until a friend plopped another drink in my hand, I put my swim suite on, and went out and laid out in the sun. I had a great time hanging out with friends and relaxing.

I came home Sunday afternoon and we just hung out. Then on Monday we went to the Rockville Memorial day parade in the town center. It was so much fun. Sofia loved waving at all of the people, and really loved when they threw candy! We were all having a good time until the clowns showed up, and Sofia was adamant about leaving. She said, "I don't like the clowns!" Here are a couple of pics from the parade.
