Is that Van Gogh, Degas, Matisse...no it's Sofia!

Sofia in the last couple of months has become very interested in letters, writing, and drawing. It will become very quiet in our house all of a sudden and then Sofia will emerge with a beautiful drawing for me, or have written her name, or someone else's (she is currently working on Emily:) Here is a some of her art work. I am so proud of her, I just LOVE all of my new art work.

Half of her name- the i and the a "wouldn't fit."

a palm tree

The headless horseman. She has become fascinated with the legend of Sleepy Hollow. This one is my favorite!

A Lion

A bird...this one is drawn on Emily's crib. As you can guess I needed to culture my little artist as to where we can do art. I found this during nap, took the picture, then talked to her about what can be her "canvas," and we cleaned it together.

We have been doing a calendar, because the concept of time especially for exciting things is overwhelming...to me! Everyday was, "is today the day we see Cinderella." So now every night we talk about the day. And for special events we draw pictures so that she can see when they are happening. This one is from this month, hence the pumpkins, and I LOVE it. It is my family coming to visit! So that is a picture of all of them:)

The first time she did her name a little over a month ago at Preschool.

This one she did this morning, so it is the most recent. It is my dad!!! So here is her version of PB:)
